Look keenly into the eyes of kids than into the eyes of majors/
For they convey our real hopes and fears.
Look intensely into the eyes of kids than into the eyes of majors/
For they see in fours.
Listen to the voices of kids than the voices of majors/
For they speak more to the heart than to the head.
Watch closely the play of minors than the play of majors/
For they mimicry our real world.
Listen to the cries of children than the cries of majors/
For they cut deeper than the cries of majors.
Observe the inopportune shrieks of kids than to the inopportune shrieks of majors/
For they reveal the unknown.
Observe keenly the silence of minors than the silence of majors/
For they transcend the recesses of time.
Watch closely the dance of minors than the dance of majors/
For they vividly tell our stories.
Listen to the banter of minors than the banter of majors/
For they parody who we are.
Listen to the whispers of children than the whispers of majors/
For they echo the whispers of forebears.
Observe the angst of minors than the angst of majors/
For they are genuine manifestations of our unease.
Observe the follies of minors than the follies of majors/
For they capture our misjudgements.
Listen to the sighs of kids than to the sighs of majors/
For they echo our collective wahala.
Observe kids soundly asleep than majors sleeping soundly/
For their sleep exudes peace.
Watch the fistfights of minors than the fistfights of majors/
For they make peace rapidly thereafter.
Look rather at the little fingers of kids rather than the little fingers of majors/
For they are instruments of friendship pacts.
Listen more to children, the peace mendicants.
Let’s all be children
